Activision has announced a new brand initiative that is intended to highlight games designed specifically for the Wii, which they’re calling “Wee 1st.” They plan to kick off a new advertising campaign for the brand this fall to promote holiday titles such as Little League World Series 2008, Rapala Fishing Frenzy and Dancing with the Stars: Get Your Dance On.
“The Wii is introducing new audiences to gaming,” said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. “Clearly, the Wii’s accessible controls are changing how the audience plays games and how we look at game design. This initiative is designed to showcase games that take full advantage of the Wii’s capabilities.”
That’s all well and good, but couldn’t they have just called it “Wii 1st?” We just got over the endless urine and phallus jokes associated with Nintendo’s console.
