I was not complaining about the PS3’s price being higher than that of the 360’s, I understand that the PS3 has more advanced hardware and therefore will naturally cost more, I was simply responding to Norbit’s claim that the PS3 was double the price of the 360, which is an absurd claim.

I’ll admit that I’m incredibly biased towards the 360, but if I thought the PS3 had potential, theres nothing that would stop me from buying one. I just feel that right now with my 360 I can get more games for a cheaper price with better service than Sony can offer me. When the day comes that the PS3 actually gets some good exclusives (sorry guys, I’m not an MGS fan) then I’ll probably get one, but for now Microsoft is delivering just about the best console package anyone can get. And once again, i’d just like to reiterate the fact that Microsoft has been in the market for less than 7 years, compared to Sony’s 14 years. I really don’t care how much you love your PS3, you have to admit that MS has done an amazing job getting into the market and pulling customers from both Nintendo and Sony and producing a console that truly can deliver

improve the features of the PSN. more games, more commercials for their games and hardware, add the ability to friend games playing now and simply join them. more demos, instant messaging from in game, basicly make it similar to Xbox lives features. that is what makes online more fun and simplified. I am not saying this because im an Xbox fanboy, its just obvious xbox live is a better system and sony needs to catch up.

as for the topic sales numbers i think both are doing well, neither have thrown in the towel, and honestly who cares about ranting on sales figures, unless u work for sony or moneysoft.

The MGS games are incredibly overrated. And MGS4? Yeah, I really wanna play as a 65 year old man popping his daily pills while he hides in a goddamn cardboard box and reveals himself to the evil arabs (or Russians, or whoever the morons who thought up shit made to be the bad guys) by farting. He knew that dairy doesn’t agree with him and he still insisted on a cheese omelette this morning!!

I’d say the series is equivalent to.. maybe the Blair Witch trilogy on PC in quality. What? You never heard of them? Maybe that’s for the best.. Okay, here’s a more recent series of epic failures: the new Sonic games since Sonic Adventure 2. MGS is like them.

As for the PS2 outselling the 360, this is an irrelevant factor. Not only are we talking about the 360 vs PS3, the PS2 is a past gen console and doesn’t factor in to any argument about current gen consoles.

The reason I argue that the PS3 SLIGHTLY outselling the 360 is a failure on Sony’s part is due to the fact that the 360 has been out for a year longer than the PS3. If you had any functioning brain cells, you would realize that sales of items start off high and decrease gradually. If you understand this, then you would also understand that the PS3 should be outselling the 360 by a wide margin. That is why Sony = Epic fail in the U.S.

As for Home and MGS4. Yes, both of these may help boost sales of the PS3, no one will aruge that, but I somehow don’t see kids going to their moms and saying “Mommy, buy me a PS3 because I want to run around in a virtual world called Home, where Sony can throw ad’s in my face while I have nothing else to do.” MGS3, yes, Home, no.

Did you even look at those sales figures? Not only has the 360 been outsold by the PS3 it has also been outsold by Sony’s 8 year old PS2

How can that be anything other than absolutely brilliant for the PlayStation brand and terrible for the Xbox? Think about that for a second. That would be like the PS3 being outsold in every region on earth this year by the Xbox and the Xbox 360

59,000 consoles more. You call that a success story? The 360 has been out a year longer and is still selling close to that of the PS3, in my book that gets listed under epic fail.

As for the Japanese and European markets, we all knew the 360 would do fairly poorly. Sony is a oriental company, therefore they cater more towards the east, therefore their consoles sell much better there. No one expected the 360 to do well in Japan. Period. In Europe, the 360 has done better than expected and has already sold more consoles that w/ the original Xbox.

In the end, the PS3 may end up selling more consoles everywhere, but you have to admit, for a second generation console with a market already heavily committed to Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft has done an amazing job pulling customers and becoming a competitive force in the market.

As you can see it is actually a FACT that the PS3 is outselling the 360 in the US this year and in the EU and Japan the gap is far bigger. It is also a FACT that the 360 is the worst selling console on earth this year yet you think Sony are in a hole?

The fact that the 360 continues to outsell the PS3 in the U.S. is a laughing matter, and no amount of PS3 fanboyism can dig Sony out of that hole.
