A Reason to Buy Again? BioShock PS3 Getting Trophies

BioShock is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 after a very long wait, and while the game will no doubt have been worth the wait to those who haven’t already played it, fans like myself face a conundrum: Should I buy a copy of the game again just because I love it so much?
That decision was made slightly easier with the news on PlayStation.Blog that the game will have support for Trophies. And at this point, with only one game currently available that supports them, that’s a big deal.
On bronze Trophies, BioShock PS3 designer Tynan Wales said, “Just like in the original BioShock, for the PS3 version our initial emphasis was on encouraging thoroughness and exploration of the BioShock universe. Each system in BioShock has a reward for the player that digs deep enough. Our hope is that players that may otherwise neglect a system will want to explore it just for the Trophy. Systems like Researching, Modifying Weapons, Hacking, and Crafting are all loaded with awards. A meticulous player will find themselves up to their armpits in prizes.
“While every system has a tactical in-game advantage, we hope these Trophies will encourage players to try out every aspect of BioShock. Hacking, for example, is a system that some players may never focus on. However, for the player who gets out their wrench and starts tinkering, the tactical significance of having a turret and two security bots on your team is impressive. We hope that luring you in with the promise of glittering medals will make you consider revisiting such systems. We believe that once you get a nibble of the effectiveness of certain tactics, you’ll come back for a full meal.”

You'd spend $70 dollars again just to get some useless trophies. Talk about consumer whore.

great game, if u already have it for 360, why waste the $60 on it again if its the same game and content. Who cares on trophies or acheivments. that dont make or break a game, bioshock is a awesome game, but one copy would work for me.
