A Canadian Self-Made Videogame Maker

I’ve always had a dream of making my own video game, what it would have and what you could do. But it looks like this high school graduate actually has made his ideal video game a reality.

For Dave Wishnowski, a Canadian from Prince Albert, the journey to make his own video game stemmed from his dislike of video games. Or, specifically, at the time he disliked wrestling video games.

So he invested nearly three years into learning how to make a video game, and finally was able to spend the next two years completing a playable version of the game he wanted after a loan from Telefilm Canada. Now that his game is near completion, he has offers to make more, should this launch go well.

I’d have to say, that’s pure dedication, and an inspiration to independent game making. If I were in his situation and had that kind of drive, I would have made the best Real-Time Strategy game known to man.

Oh, okay, I would have just remade Starcraft.
