Yep, three new songs for Guitar Hero 2 are available for purchase via Xbox Live Marketplace. Single song option this time. It’ll cost you 200 points a song though. Ouch!

Exile by Soilwork from Germany
Sept by Pleymo from France
Sin Documentos by Los Rodriguez from Spain

(You can read a small Bio of each group via ScoreHero link below)

An interesting note is that these are all European groups. The Soilwork track looks interesting. I can’t say it is worth the 200 points, but it looks fun, nonetheless. The other two tracks are pretty “meh”. If you ask me, all three tracks look pretty easy to play. I would seriously kill for some Nightwish or Opeth DLC. Then again, save that hope for GH3 which is just around the corner.

I’m really disappointed in the DLC selection for GH2 since I got it early this summer. I really hope Neversoft/Activision score some good DLC content for Guitar Hero III. The price gouging and mediocrity of the DLC content exampled by GH2 on the 360 is not one to follow.

Thanks, ScoreHero!

Nightwish – The thought of that just makes me tingle all over.
Opeth – Unfortunately I do not see the majority of GH players appreciating them the way some of us do.

Laugh if you must, but I think “I Don’t Wanna Be Me” or “Angry Itch” by Type O Negative would be a lot of fun to play on GH. If they were to ever be included though, it would most likely be “Black No. 1″ since it was the closest to “commercial” TON ever came – I could only imagine the strain on my pinkie finger trying to pull off those power chords. GH needs more hard core metal.
