Mozart French Trailer

This is probably one of the strangest trailers (the Limbo of the Lost ending does not count) I have seen in a while. I never knew that Mozart was a detective, or that the DaVinci Code was being made into another game by a different name, or that I still, after all these years post high school, retained my ability to read French. It is a day of wonders indeed. Anyway, on with it….

Prague, 1788, the times are hard… Prussians and Austro-Hungarians are fighting to gain control of Bohemia. There is a rumour that the armies of the Emperor of Austria, Joseph II, have been defeated after the bloody battle of Carensebes against the Ottomans. At the same time, Mozart, the Emperor’s protégé, is in Prague trying once again to solve his money problems, with no idea of what is just round the corner…

Mozart, developed by Game Consulting who did the conception and production of a level for Unreal Tournament 3 is a point and click adventure game in the third person, with what looks to be exceptional graphics for the P&C genre. In the story, the player is put in the historical setting of Prague, with its legendary places and architectural treasures combing roman, gothic and baroque styles. Does not sound too bad considering a virtual Prague is much cheaper than the real Prague.

As Mozart, will you are discovering the richness Prague has to offer, you have to solve the musical riddles thrown at you while the composer’s music plays the whole time.

1Up gave the game an A+ so it must be a decent little point and click game, and if you are into that sort of thing, you may want to check it out. 1Up lists it as already being released, but the developer’s official site says it is unpublished as of yet and the trailer states October 2008 - other than that I cannot find it listed for pre-sale anywhere nor any more information.

Anyway, to check out some screens for the game click here.
